Meet Ellen

Care that's shaped by lived experience.

My path into acupuncture began with a personal search for better health. That journey eventually led me through fertility challenges, IVF, becoming a mum to triplets and further training in fertility coaching and perinatal mental health. Today, I combine lived experience with professional expertise to support others with compassion, understanding and evidence informed care.

The practitioner I once needed, for the people who need one now.

Qualified to support the whole picture

My training has grown alongside my own journey from acupuncture and clinical medicine to fertility support, IVF and perinatal mental health.

I believe good care comes from understanding more than one part of the picture, which is why I've continued to develop my knowledge across physical health, reproductive health and emotional wellbeing.

Where it all began

I never set out to become an acupuncturist. I simply wanted to feel well again.

For years I struggled with digestive issues and the effects of chronic stress. Like many of my clients, I was searching for answers. Acupuncture became a turning point. It helped me reconnect with my health in a way I hadn't experienced before, and I remember thinking, "Why doesn't everyone know about this?" That question changed the direction of my life. I went on to train as an acupuncturist so I could help others experience the same sense of healing and hope that I had found.

Then life changed everything

Just as my career was beginning, life took me on a path I never expected.

My partner and I spent years navigating fertility challenges, IVF, and the emotional rollercoaster of desperately wanting to become parents. We experienced hope, heartbreak, disappointment and the loneliness that can come with feeling like everyone else is moving forward while you're standing still.

After years of fighting for our family, we were finally blessed with our beautiful triplet boys.

People often see the happy ending. What they don't see is everything it took to get there. Becoming a mother changed me in ways I never could have anticipated. It changed how I saw myself, how I understood the women and families I worked with, and ultimately, the kind of practitioner I wanted to become.

It changed not only who I was as a mother, but who I wanted to be as a practitioner.

The practitioner I became

I became a Fertility Coach through my training with Women’s Health Network. I never wanted another person to feel they had to navigate fertility treatment alone like we did. The decisions can be overwhelming, the waiting can be exhausting, and at times, the whole process can feel incredibly isolating. It really frustrated me how little support there was.

I know how it feels to question your options, search for answers and feel like you need someone in your corner who truly understands both the practical side of treatment and the emotional weight that comes with it. My own experience of the Irish system ultimately led me to seek treatment abroad, and that experience shaped the way I now support others.

Every experience I had from fertility treatment and pregnancy to birth and our NICU experience left me wondering the same thing: where is all the support women and couples need through this? There is so much focus on the medical side, but often very little support for the emotional reality of what people are actually going through. I wanted to be part of changing that.

I later went on to train in Perinatal Mental Health with the Perinatal Mental Health Institute (PMHI), so I could support women and couples not only through fertility treatment, but through pregnancy, birth, NICU experiences, birth trauma and the huge emotional transition into parenthood.

Every qualification I've undertaken has been guided by one simple question:

“How can I support my patients better?”

That question continues to shape the way I work today.

Whether you're facing fertility challenges, recovering from pain, preparing for birth, navigating the early days of parenthood, or simply looking to feel more balanced and supported, my approach is always centered around you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.

I have worked and studied incredibly hard to get to where I am today. Every qualification, every course and every step has required dedication, sacrifice and a huge amount of commitment. I’ve invested so much of myself into learning, growing and becoming the practitioner I am today because being able to support my patients properly has always mattered that much to me.

How I can support you

Today I care for people through many different chapters of life.

Some come to me with pain, stress , sports injuries , back pain or digestive concerns. Others are preparing for pregnancy, navigating IVF or adjusting to life after birth. Every person arrives with their own story, and every treatment is tailored to meet them where they are. Whether you're seeking relief, answers, support or simply a space to pause, you'll be welcomed with kindness, honesty and evidence informed care.

I'd be honoured to be part of your journey.
